Alright folks it is time for me to update you on everything (or at least a majority) of the ordeals that went down this summer. First and foremost I am still strictly limited (by myself) to Salvage in order to proceed with my goals. With that I have made plans to upgrade the nyzul relic hand-to-hand Glanzfaust. With that in mind I have alot of goals set for myself. So during this period Atti also chose to start on his Bravura and earlier this year Ollie chose Aegis. So I created a LS for the 3 of use to keep track of our progress and lend each other a hand if need be. I called this shell FYCNcorp (It has a subliminal message of course). I am 23 assaults shy of captain and my runic disc is currently at floors 21-25. I plan to pick up my static soon, but not until I meet my own requirements. Save for alot of things this summer I got to hang out with alot of my friends which I don't get to do often between RL and FFXI ordeals.



I hadn't seen Juno in a while so it was really fun hanging with her. We didn't have any luck with her clubs this night, but she pursuaded me to finally get my Pole of Trials and go for breaking the latent. This ended up being an all nighter where I got my last 3 lvls on staff to cap it, I broke my latent and we trio'd the NM for the Weaponskill with my good friend Evode. After my NM we did Evode' Evisceration NM in Gustav Tunnel. It was a very eventful night even though I slept through my salvage alarm.

Well the following weeks salvage came and went as uneventful as I had preceived them to be so I tended to lose hope. I broke down and started lvling DRK to 37 to play around with in Beseiged and Campaign. I liked the job just not the fact of me being a puller. Pulling is something that I do not enjoy doing in low lvls at all. Seeing as you're always in one area for a long ass time it tends to be long and drawn out. However during the dunes I got to party up with a couple friends (Chriscrosss and Misheru) and we trio'd gobs for some decent exp.

 


So finally after a few days of grinding.................



I dinged 37 with flying colors. To my amaze there we no stun scrolls on the AH which was lame, but no big deal. So that night I had salvage and was ready for anything. We ended up doing Bhaflau Remnants boss for a friend of mine's Usukane Hizayoroi. We were able to kill 9/10 gears so we still had a rough fight on our hands, but nothing we couldn't handle. 



When it came down to it I ended up solo tanking him for a very longtime waiting on Teissa to raise. This kinda throws me off when it happens as usually i'm in a very mellow tone in salvage then BAM i'm the center of attention. I lived through the entire ordeal and we beat him with time to spare. However to no avail Breach's 25 did not drop so this Tuesday night was considered a bust.

The following Sunday had to be one of the most lucky times I have ever had on FFXI. It was a Zhayolm remnants run and of course I was hyped up as I need the 35 usu hands and the 25 usu head. So we clear all the lower floors in record time for the shell which was awesome. We kill 5th floor frog and 35 usu hands drop as well as 35 Marduk body which went to our leader Famine. At that moment I am very excited, but still focused as we still had a floor and a boss to do. We get to the boss with 15min to spare and clear him in 10. The 1st thing I see is Tsukikazu Jinpachi drop and I fall out of my chair. Famine calls it to me and I can't bring myself to get up. I was so stunned at the fact I cleared 2 Usukane pieces in one run that I did not know what to do with myself. I stayed in the zone after almost everyone left as if afraid my items would run out on me. This point of amazement was phenominal. Eijih was very happy for me as well at the time (or it could have been he was excited for a LJ update...)

I've been doing ZNMs off and on with TNB at the times I can make them. I enjoy the fights much more than the rewards as they are challenging and fresh to FFXI. A while back Evode and I duo'd Lil'Apkallu which was VERY fun and would love to do it again. Other ZNMs like Dea and Experimental Lamia are pretty cool to take out also. Iriz is fun to fight also as he's usually kited, but with enough people he can be straight tanked which is my preference as it's more of a challenge...... however! He was no match for me!.....



No I didn't solo him, but I did take alot of hate from stuns and SE Asuran which I enjoyed playing around with as /DRK.

As of late I have trying to make my experience on FFXI as enjoyable as possible. I've been successful as I don't regret logging everyday like I use to. I pass my time fishing which I love doing now more than ever. The peace and relaxtion of this pass-time is amazing. I can get so much done while fishing and at least when I fish I always get something out of it unlike when I craft (Clothcraft: 83.0+2) and end up breaking 30 capped synths and lose a profit or something.

I took some pretty cool pics (imo) over the summer also and lost many of them due to having to format my hardrive on my laptop and reinstalling FFXI on my PS3. However I prevailed in this dark hour so fear not!



Atti, Ollie, and myself decided to hang out in the Temple for shits so we killed Tonberrys upstairs then headed down to the Den to fuck shit up there too. It was fun to not have anything in mind, but mindless slaughter.



This is Citadel Chelonian. This is the very 1st time I had ever seen and it was interesting. We defeated him with ease and to be expected no 35. However I enjoyed the fight as it was different and a change of pace. He reminded me of a weak version of the already weak Adamantoise which of course says alot as far as a "challenge".




Groupie?..........



This is the LS leader of my other salvage shell ClanLuShang. He has to be one of the coolest guys I know. He provides a very laidback atomosphere on runs and I feel alot less stressful when I run with them and it makes me feel exceptionally comfortable with my skills.



One of the lowman runs we went on to do Bhaf ramparts (1st & 3rd) we were successful with 1st of course and 3rd we did not kill both mobs close enough to their deaths in order for them to pop the rampart. So with our remaining time we farmed cards and alexandrite.



MNK/DRK in ballista has to be the most deathfilled fun i've ever had. Stuns, Souleater + Asuran Fists has potential. Of course not for party use, but I enjoy it alot.
 

So recently I decided to see if I could get a Denali Bonnet from Freelot. All the runs were successful, but only an Askar head came out of the runs. Fine by me as I am patient. The runs with this group was actually fun for me. Usually I am the one telling people what to do in nyzul and having to lead. With everyone in the group knowing what to do it was actually enjoyable. We got 2 Cerbs and a Khim which was fun to fight.

I have also been doing some assaults to further my progress to captain. Some are quite enjoyable while others like escorting professor dickhead are BS. I really liked Marids in the Mist. That one very fun as I had to tank for 2 BLMs 1 RDM and RNG. I had the time of my life. Made a great ally in the process so I may do assaults with her again in the future.

On one of my Salvage Thursdays we did Arrapago Remnants NMs and boss. Our time was awesome as we were able to do just about all the QQs. We killed the chariot and to my surprise 35 legs dropped. They went to me and I was in silent excitement. We fought to boss with much time to spare and it was a very epic battle. Mortal Revolutions for everyone!

A couple days after I asked Eij if he wanted to campaign. He agreed and switched to PLD and we had much fun that night. Although he had to work the next day we did as much as we could to make the last few moments enjoyable.







Orcs cheat.......

That night Aurkonn (Juno) came online and wanted to do something. So we went to camp her clubs from the NM skeles on the ferries. Silverhook popped on the 3rd ferry and was cocktease and didn't drop anything. Juno started to lose hope so we chose to stay for one more ride. The very next ride Blackbeard popped and with low expectations we didn't think anything would come of it. Well....



He did infact drop the Sea Robber Cudgel! Juno was very excited and really pleased with finally getting. I was happy for her so now we won't have to ride both ships. The skele NM fights are always fun and a surprise when fishing. They keep me entertained when riding on the desolate ferry.

As a closing for this entry I had alot going on this summer so my time was strayed away from this journal altogether. So when it came time. I said to hell with it and updated to show nothing of relevance happened to me. Now good night and enjoy today's update! (in-game and on this LJ).

Well a huge apology to my friends as I had many things go on during the time of my 2nd entry. 1st and foremost my PS3's bluRay cut out after I came back from my business trip. That put me out of commission of FFXI as I had to send it to Sony for repairs. As of right now I am reinstalling FFXI and will get right to work on making things as interesting as possible asap.
